After many years of service, Wens Temba, our MCCC manager, is going to take a well-earned sabbatical. Wens has really done a great job in keeping the ministry at MCCC ticking over since the McKinnons left back in December 2009. He has been faithful and steady in managing the work through some difficult days when budgets were sometimes very tight. He has been a father-figure to many of the younger children and a wise and godly counsellor for the older ones.
Wens will take time off from September 2017 to December 2017. He hopes to use the time not only for a well-earned rest but to give special attention to some of his own personal affairs. We wish Wens a truly restful and peaceful time and hope he will be back renewed and re-invigorated for the work in 2018.
In the meantime, Lucy will be stepping up into the shoes of Wens as the acting manager. Please remember to pray for and support Lucy in the big responsibility. She has proven herself able for the task in the last few years as administrative assistant alongside Wens, and we are confident she will with God’s help, do a great job.
